Alyssa Gerber
Deputy Public Defender, she/her
Gerber attended the University of Oregon, majoring in Political Science and Philosophy, and then attended Willamette Law School, graduating in 2016. While in school, Gerber began working as a law clerk for PDMC in the summer of 2013, holding her position until she graduated.
However, after graduation, Gerber moved to Colorado and passed the bar, electing to work for the Alternative Defense Counsel for a little over a year. Returning to Oregon, she immediately returned to PDMC, calling it the “absolute best office.” She says that every person, from staff to executive director, works extremely hard to make sure they serve the public to the best of their abilities. Gerber is passionate about public defense because she believes everyone deserves excellent representation and wants to help fight to make that a guarantee for all.
