YOUR RIGHTS:
1) You have the right to remain silent. DO NOT speak with anyone, other than your attorney and their legal team (investigator and paralegal), about the facts surrounding this criminal case.
a. Should you be approached by law enforcement or investigators, you should:
i. assert your 5th amendment right to remain silent and
ii. require that your attorney be present with you for any and all questioning.
2) You are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
3) You have a right to a speedy trial.
4) You have a right to a trial by a jury or by a judge.
5) You have the right to confront the evidence and witnesses against you.
6) You have the right to have favorable evidence in your case to be brought forward and to force witnesses to testify on your behalf.
7) You have the right to have your lawyer help you throughout the course of the criminal process.
8) You have the right to testify or to remain silent, if you choose to remain silent, the judge will instruct the jury that at no point can your right to remain silent be used against you.
9) You have the right to have the prosecution prove in court that you are guilty of what they have charged you with beyond a reasonable doubt.
